Year 7&8 Weekly Blog
Language & Literature
This week in Language and Literature class the children explored some of the mythical creatures that are used in different storylines. They were also responsible for creating their own superheroes that they will use in a story they create based off of a myth or legend. For next week, the children will begin working on their summative assessments for Unit 3. The learners will be creating an Ebook that will be used to represent one myth that they have learned about during Unit 3. They will be assessed according to Criterion A: Analysing, Criterion C: Producing Text and Criterion D: Using Language.
วิชาหลักภาษาและวรรณกรรม
ในวิชาหลักภาษาและวรรณกรรมสัปดาห์นี้ เด็กๆได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับสัตว์ในตำนานซึ่งถูกเขียนไว้ในนิยายต่างๆ พวกเขายังได้มีหน้าที่รับผิดชอบในการสร้างวีรบุรุษและวีรสตรีของพวกเขาเองซึ่งจะถูกใช้ในเรื่องราวที่พวกเขาเขียนขึ้นอ้างอิงถึงเรื่องเล่าขานหรือตำนานอีกด้วย สำหรับสัปดาห์หน้า เด็กๆจะได้เริ่มทำแบบทดสอบท้ายบทของหน่วยการเรียนรู้ที่ ๓ นักเรียนจะต้องสร้างอีบุ๊คเพื่อนำเสนอตำนานหนึ่งอย่างที่พวกเขาได้เรียนรู้ในหน่วยการเรียนรู้ที่ ๓ พวกเขาจะได้รับการประเมินโดยใช้เกณฑ์การประเมินภาค ก. การวิเคราะห์ เกณฑ์การประเมินภาค ค. การสร้างเนื้อหา และเกณฑ์การประเมินภาค ง. การใช้ภาษา
Individuals & Society
For this week the children have been exploring the powerful impact that a Pharaoh had on the Egyptian civilisation. The children had an option of creating a slideshow presentation, an Ebook or write a report to show their understanding of the Pharaoh's impact on Egyptian civilisation. For next week the children will begin learning about the Roman civilisation and the invention of Roman numerals, the Julian Calendar, and the impact this civilisation had on law, politics and religion.

Maths
Students have been working in groups collecting data from each other to apply statistical methods to the data such as mean, mode, range, median and any trends that can be determined from applying the line of best fit to the graphs. Students are being introduced to pictographs, line graphs, scatter graphs, pie graphs, bar graphs and histograms. For this next week, students will begin looking at larger data sets to apply frequency tables too.

ในสัปดาห์นี้นักเรียนได้มีการทำงานร่วมกันเป็นกลุ่มเพื่อเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลในการประยุกต์ใช้วิธีการหาสถิติรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ฐานนิยม พิสัยและมัธยฐาน อีกทั้งวิธีการแบบใหม่อื่นใดก็ตามที่สามารถนำมาใช้ได้ในการสร้างแผนภูมิรูปแบบต่างๆ นักเรียนได้รับการแนะนำให้รู้จักกับแผนภูมิรูปภาพ แผนภูมิเส้น ภาพภูมิแจกแจง แผนภูมิวงกลม แผนภูมิแท่งและแผนภูมิแสดงความถี่ สำหรับสัปดาห์หน้า นักเรียนจะเริ่มรู้จักกับชุดข้อมูลที่กว้างขึ้นเพื่อจะนำมาประยุกต์ใช้ในเรื่องตารางความถี่อีกด้วย
Science
In the science lab, students are recording the growth rate for garlic plants under varying light and soil conditions. Students are also investigating the role of photosynthesis in plants, and how life processes occur in cells. For this next week, students will continue to explore the structure and function of cell organelles, and research the necessities of living in the different kingdoms of life.
วิชาวิทยาศาสตร์
ในห้องทดลองวิทยาศาสตร์ นักเรียนได้บันทึกข้อมูลการเจริญเติบโตของต้นกระเทียมที่อยู่ในแสงและสภาพดินที่แตกต่างกัน นักเรียนยังได้เรียนรู้เรื่องหน้าที่ของพืชในการสังเคราะห์แสงอีกด้วย อีกทั้งกระบวนการดำรงชีวิตที่เกิดขึ้นในเซลล์ สำหรับสัปดาห์หน้านักเรียนจะยังคงสำรวจโครงสร้างและการทำงานในออร์แกเนลล์ของเซลล์ และค้นคว้าหาข้อมูลความจำเป็นในการดำรงชีวิตของอาณาจักรต่างๆ
