English: Language and Literature

In Language and Literature, we started a new unit which is based on finding out our identities and recognition. We started writing biographies about celebrities around the world and shared what we learned about the celebrity that we chose by Google Slides.
We also were put into pairs and talked a little about each other’s life. Learning about different and new things about your partner and sharing fun facts about them to the class.

In Thai, we’re studying about กลอนแปดสุภาพ (a form of Thai octameter poem) and วิศวกรรม (engineering), in octameter poem unit teacher asks us to compose verse by ourselves, using any topic and compose verse as a group by using topic about
“What did you think about UDIS”. If there is something incorrect, Ms. Nard will help us to fix and improve our poems.
In the engineering unit teacher tell us to choose the type of art that we like, For example,
digital painting by a Thai artist name Ravee
And the teacher told us to do a slide using a topic about Thai engineering.

วิชาภาษาไทย เราเรียนเรื่องกลอนแปดสุภาพและวิศวกรรม เราแต่งกลอนแปดสุภาพในหัวข้อ “คุณคิดอย่างไรกับโรงเรียนนานาชาติอุดรธานี” ครูผู้สอนคอยช่วยเหลือเราในการแต่งกลอนแปดสุภาพ
ในส่วนของหัวข้อวิศวกรรมไทย ครูผู้สอนให้เราเลือกงานงานศิลปะโดยเป็นศิลปินประเทศใดก็ได้

English: Language Acquisition

We did a mind-map about culture and wrote the new English words on google docs and told the meaning of those words(we’re doing it together). Use the attached photos to add all new words and we can create our own work in a notebook. And we have learned about discord, a song that other students choose and also we did the music genre, We did the presets about music genre.

In Thai language acquisition we are learning about emotions. We are covering creative thinking skills. The concepts that we are covering are expression, passion and behaviour.
The project or activity that we are going to do is the poster of the movie inside out. We were supposed to think about making our own poster inside out without copying.
• We watched half of the movie inside out.
• We have to think about what does inside out mean in Thai.

Individuals and Societies

In Individuals and Societies, we focused on the causes and effects of globalisation. Specifically, we learned about the impact of globalisation on economics and business by looking at mobile phones. For example, where does this product come from? What are all the countries involved in producing the software and hardware?

เรามุ่งเน้นไปที่สาเหตุและผลกระทบของโลกาภิวัฒน์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเราเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับผลกระทบของโลกาภิวัฒน์ที่มีผลต่อเศรษฐกิจและธุรกิจโดยค้นหาข้อมูลจากโทรศัพท์ ตัวอย่างเช่น ผลิตภัณฑ์นี้มาจากที่ไหน? ประเทศไหนบ้างที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการผลิตซอร์ฟแวร์และฮาร์ดแวร์?
We also learned relevant vocabulary about globalisation and business, as well as the positives and negative effects of transnational corporations. We had a Quiz about this, too.
นอกจากนี้เรายังได้เรียนรู้คำศัพท์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโลกาภิวัฒน์และธุรกิจ รวมไปถึงผลกระทบเชิงบวกและเชิงลบของบริษัทข้ามชาติ เรามีแบบทดสอบเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้ด้วย
Students are also doing group projects about specific topics in globalization to learn about how globalisation impacted their topics or vice versa. Some of the specific topics we did are:
Globalisation and the gaming industry,
Globalisation and language,
Globalisation and the arts (music),
Globalisation and the Covid-19.
Groups have to lead classroom activities to other students in the class. This project teaches us about globalization and how to lead, organise and improve activities.

In Sciences, we learned about the universe, like astronomy and questions about space. We also learnt about velocity and speed.

In Design, we are working on the stop motion activity. It is the application to make the thing move. As part of information literacy, we learned about how social media attracts us to stay on their apps.
วิชาออกแบบ เรากำลังทำกิจกรรมการออกแบบภาพเคลื่อนไหว “stop motion” เรามีการใช้อุปกรณ์ที่ช่วยในการเคลื่อนไหว ซึ่งกิจกรรมนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสารสนเทศ เราได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับสื่อในสังคมออนไลน์ดึงดูดให้เรามีการใช้แอปพลิเคชั่นอย่างต่อเนื่อง
Mathematics

In math, we’re doing a project about pretending to be refugees in Udon Thani and were given a specific amount of money from the government -- using Thai baht currency. We were separated into pairs and were assigned to make google sheets or docs of a whole month with how we spend our money, and how we will survive.
The judge (Mr. Barend) brought each pair to court to interview with him to see how you are doing and see if the things we are doing is allowed, if he thinks you get not that much done because you don't have lots of money he would give more cash, he would increase the budget of that pair by a few thousand.

วิชาคณิตศาสตร์ เราทำโปรเจคเกี่ยวกับการเป็นผู้อพยพจากต่างถิ่นมายังอุดรธานี ซึ่งได้รับเงินจากรัฐบาลในจำนวนที่จำกัด (เงินบาท) เราจับคู่กับเพื่อนในชั้นเรียนและออกแบบตารางการจัดการด้านการเงินสำหรับการใช้ชีวิตในฐานะผู้อพยพ และทำอย่างไรถึงจะมีชีวิตต่อไปได้ในวงเงินที่จำกัด
ครูผู้สอนได้สัมภาษณ์ผู้เรียน และให้คำแนะนำว่าผู้อพยพสามารถทำสิ่งใดได้และสิ่งใดที่ไม่สามารถทำได้แก่ผู้เรียน นอกจากนั้นครูผู้สอนยังเพิ่มจำนวนเงินต่อเดือนสำหรับโปรเจคผู้อพยพนี้ให้แก่ผู้เรียน เพื่อนำไปพัฒนาและปรับปรุงวิถีความเป็นอยู่ของผู้อพยพอีกด้วย

In Art class, we learned about the elements of music and notes. We learned how to play ukulele from the video (Over the rainbow) and drama with pairs that Ms. Marie asked. Online, when Natasha, Michelle and Prue were not attending school, Ms Marie decided to let us choose the famous musicians and share each other's topics.

Physical and Health Education

In PHE, we played court games for our unit for example Basketball and Handball. In Handball we were learning the basics such as how to throw, pass and some of the rules of Handball. We also learnt about Basketball, but for now we only learnt how to pass and the rules.
