Parent Notice
ข่าวสารถึงผู้ปกครอง
Dear parents,
On March 31st from 13:00-15:00, we will be having our Student Led Conferences. We will have three different groups and times for each group to meet with their children to discuss their student portfolios. Once parents have met with their child and completed the Student Led Conference they are free to take their child home with them. Below is the schedule of each group and their allocated time. In order to accommodate learners with other siblings in the school, we must try to stick to this schedule as much as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
เรียน ผู้ปกครองทุกท่าน
ในวันที่ ๓๑ มีนาคม เวลา ๑๓.๐๐ ถึง ๑๕.๐๐ น. เราจะมีการประชุมนำเสนอผลงานนักเรียน โดยมีการจัดแบ่งกลุ่มออกเป็นสามกลุ่มตามช่วงเวลาที่ต่างกัน เพื่อให้นักเรียนได้อภิปรายจากแฟ้มสะสมผลงานของตนเอง เมื่อการนำเสนอผลงานของนักเรียนเสร็จสิ้นเรียบร้อยแล้ว ท่านผู้ปกครองสามารถพาบุตรหลานของท่านกลับบ้านได้ ด้านล่างนี้เป็นตารางเวลาของแต่ละกลุ่ม เราจะใช้ตารางเวลาดังกล่าวให้ได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะเป็นไปได้ เพื่อรองรับนักเรียนที่มีพี่หรือน้องในระดับชั้นเรียนอื่นๆ ทางเราขอขอบพระคุณอย่างยิ่งมา ณ ที่นี้ด้วย

Language & Literature
This week in Language and Literature class the children have been writing a persuasive essay on what they feel are the best ways to help combat bullying in schools. This will tie into their Unit 4 summative assessments next week. For this summative assessment, the children will be creating a podcast or an audiobook where they will have to create a story about a child who is being bullied in school and how they have worked to overcome this issue.
วิชาหลักภาษาและวรรณกรรม
ในชั้นเรียนวิชาหลักภาษาและวรรณกรรมสัปดาห์นี้ เด็กๆได้เขียนเรียงความโน้มน้าวจิตใจในหัวข้อ ความรู้สึกของตนเองเป็นตัวช่วยที่ดีที่สุดในการคัดค้านการกลั่นแกล้งภายในโรงเรียน การเขียนเรียงความจะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการประเมินสรุปในสัปดาห์หน้า สำหรับการประเมินนี้ เด็กๆจะได้สร้างพอดคาสต์หรือหนังสือเสียง ซึ่งพวกเขาจะได้เขียนเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับเด็กที่ถูกกลั่นแกล้งในโรงเรียนและวิธีการที่พวกเขาเอาชนะปัญหาดังกล่าว
Individuals & Society
For this week the children were designing their own sustainable settlements by either creating a diorama, a digital settlement or through a drawing that they have created. The children had to make sure that they have included different natural resources that would be available near their settlements. For next week the children will be exploring different types of settlements and must match the different characteristics that will allow that type of settlement to succeed and thrive.
วิชามนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์
สำหรับสัปดาห์นี้ เด็กๆได้ออกแบบการตั้งถิ่นฐานที่อยู่แบบยั่งยืนของตนเอง โดยการสร้างภาพสามมิติของการตั้งถิ่นฐานที่อยู่แบบดิจิทัลหรือผ่านภาพวาดที่พวกเขาสร้างขึ้น เด็กๆต้องแน่ใจว่าพวกเขามีทรัพยากรธรรมชาติประกอบที่หลากหลาย ซึ่งหาได้ใกล้ๆกับการตั้งถิ่นฐานที่อยู่ของพวกเขา สำหรับสัปดาห์หน้า เด็กๆจะเริ่มสำรวจการตั้งถิ่นฐานที่อยู่ประเภทต่างๆ และต้องตรงกับลักษณะที่แตกต่างกัน เพื่อให้การตั้งถิ่นฐานที่อยู่ประเภทนั้นๆ เจริญเติบโตและประสบความสำเร็จได้
Maths
Students are completing the assessment activities that they have chosen to represent their skills and abilities for each of the criteria that are being evaluated this term. Following this, students will be introduced to calculations involving the perimeter and area of polygons and circles, associated angles and the constant pi. This will provide students with some foreknowledge of what will be covered in detail when they return for the third term.

Science
Science students are writing their reflections on the solar oven lab activity that was recently completed. Some students are re-visiting previous activities that require completion or some additional input, while other students are exploring extension activities in order to support their understanding. The next unit will investigate the ecosystem and some of the interactions that occur between living and non-living things with an emphasis on understanding the interdependence of all life.

นักเรียนวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ได้เขียนแสดงความคิดตอบกลับเกี่ยวกับกิจกรรมการทดลองเตาอบพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ซึ่งเพิ่งเสร็จสิ้นไปไม่นานมานี้ นักเรียนบางคนได้กลับไปทบทวนกิจกรรมก่อนหน้าที่ต้องทำให้เสร็จเรียบร้อยหรือต้องใส่รายละเอียดเพิ่มเติม ในขณะที่นักเรียนคนอื่นๆทำการสำรวจกิจกรรมเพิ่มเติม เพื่อสร้างเสริมความเข้าใจในเนื้อหาการเรียน หน่วยการเรียนรู้ต่อไปจะเกี่ยวข้องกับระบบนิเวศและปฏิสัมพันธ์บางประเภทที่เกิดขึ้นระหว่างสิ่งมีชีวิตและสิ่งไม่มีชีวิต โดยเน้นที่การทำความเข้าใจการพึ่งพาซึ่งกันและกันของทุกชีวิต
Design
In Design this week, students have been given a full assessment of all of their work to date in this subject area. Through this week and next, they have time to complete the creating/building phase of their term two projects and with any spare time or for homework, they can look back at the formative assessment notes and revise their work to be reassessed for a higher grade. Please talk to Mr Rob if you need help or have any questions.
