Dear parents,
We are pleased to announce that, under the guidance of their teachers, students in the Middle Years will now be responsible for running their year group's blog. https://udis-y8-9.
This project will provide students additional opportunities to develop writing, editing, ICT and leadership skills, as well as further engaging them with their learning and community. We hope you will also be interested to read what they produce.
As a result, the full blog with now is published at the end of each month. This timeline will allow learners to have enough time to complete this task during allocated portions of homeroom. We aim to publish the first entry on Friday, October 29th.
Teachers will continue to pass on any important announcements where relevant. Thank you again for your time and consideration.

Important announcement for next Thursday, October 7th:
Dear parents and learners,
We have received word that the authorities will cut power to the area from the Railway tracks up to the junction with Route 2021 from 9 am to 5:30 pm on Thursday which affects UDIS and a lot of the surrounding area. Unfortunately, as many of our staff also live in this area we cannot conduct regular online lessons. As such, we have set this as a home learning day and will send work & activities to work on at home on this day. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and the unique circumstance we are under here.
